Cdc27 Antibody (AF3.1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc27 protein of mouse, rat, human, and Xenopus laevis origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). Cdc27 monoclonal antibody (AF3.1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc27 plays a crucial role in the regulation of the cell cycle, particularly as a component of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC), which is essential for the timely degradation of cyclins and other regulatory proteins. This degradation is vital for the transition between different phases of the cell cycle, ensuring that cells divide correctly and at the appropriate time. By facilitating the ubiquitination of cyclin B, Cdc27 helps to trigger the metaphase-anaphase transition, thereby preventing errors in chromosome segregation that could lead to aneuploidy or other cell cycle-related disorders. Proper functioning of Cdc27 and the APC is therefore critical for maintaining genomic stability and preventing tumorigenesis, making Cdc27 (AF3.1) antibody an important tool for researchers studying cell cycle regulation and its implications in cancer biology.

Can you recommend a positive control to use with Cdc27 (AF3.1): sc-9972 for Western blot?

Asked by: jenni
We recommend K-562 (sc-2203), RAW 264.7 (sc-2211) or HeLa (sc-2200) whole cell lysates to use as positive controls as we have Western blot data showing specific detection of Rab 7 in these cell lines.

How can Cdc27 (AF3.1): sc-9972 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenni
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. Cdc27 (AF3.1): sc-9972 monoclonal antibody is currently available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-9972 PE), fluorescein (sc-9972 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-9972 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-9972 AF647)
