Cdc16 Antibody (D-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects Cdc16 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-Cdc16 antibody (D-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Cdc16 (D-1) antibody recognizes a protein that plays a crucial role in cell cycle regulation, particularly as a component of the anaphase-promoting complex (APC), which is essential for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation of cyclin B. This degradation ensures proper transition from metaphase to anaphase during cell division, enabling accurate chromosome segregation. Dysregulation of Cdc16 and APC can lead to abnormal cell cycle progression and has been linked to various cancers, making Cdc16 research valuable for understanding basic cellular processes and developing potential therapeutic strategies. Cdc16 (D-1) monoclonal antibody helps study interactions with other proteins, such as Cdc27, highlighting the significance of Cdc16 in the ubiquitin-proteasome pathway and its role in maintaining cellular homeostasis and cell cycle integrity.

Can Cdc16 (D-1): sc-376091 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. Yes, Cdc16 (D-1): sc-376091 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
