CD7 Antibody (H-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects CD7 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). CD7 is a type I transmembrane glycoprotein that plays a crucial role in the immune system, particularly in T cell activation and differentiation. CD7 is predominantly expressed on pluripotential hematopoietic cells, most human thymocytes, and a subset of peripheral blood T cells, making CD7 a significant marker for pluripotential stem cell leukemias and T cell acute lymphocytic leukemia. CD7′s importance extends to involvement in the activation of T cells with gamma/delta receptors, which are essential for immune responses against certain pathogens. Notably, CD7 expression is down-regulated in CD8 T cells from patients infected with HIV-1, highlighting CD7′s potential role in immune evasion and the pathophysiology of HIV infection. Furthermore, CD7 is among the pan-T-cell antigens that are down-regulated during acute infectious mononucleosis, indicating CD7′s relevance in various immune conditions. Anti-CD7 antibody (H-7) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying T cell biology and related diseases, providing insights into the mechanisms of immune regulation and potential therapeutic targets.
