Caspase-12 Antibody (H-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects caspase-12 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-caspase-12 antibody (H-6) is available in both conjugated and non-conjugated forms, providing flexibility for various experimental needs. Caspase-12 is a member of the Ced-3/caspase-1 family of cysteine proteases, which play a crucial role in the apoptotic process by cleaving specific target proteins essential for cellular survival and longevity. Notably, caspase-12 is localized in the endoplasmic reticulum, where caspase-12 is involved in the cellular response to stress and apoptosis. This localization enables caspase-12 to participate in the initiation of apoptosis in response to endoplasmic reticulum stress, which can be triggered by various pathological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.
