BAF60a Antibody (A-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects BAF60a protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). BAF60a (A-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. BAF60a, also known as BRG1-associated factor 60A or SMARCD1, is a 476 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in chromatin remodeling by functioning as a component of the BAF complex. BAF60a (A-11) monoclonal antibody recognizes a protein predominantly localized in the nucleus and expressed in various tissues, including liver, brain, muscle, lung, kidney, pancreas, and placenta, highlighting BAF60a′s importance in cellular processes. Notably, BAF60a influences vitamin D-mediated transcriptional activity, serving as a critical link between vitamin D receptor and SWI/SNF chromatin remodeling complexes. Multiple isoforms of BAF60a, resulting from alternative splicing, add complexity to regulatory functions, making BAF60a a significant player in gene expression and cellular differentiation.
