ATF-1 Antibody (FI-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ATF-1 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). ATF-1 is a member of the ATF/CREB transcription factor family, which plays a crucial role in regulating gene expression in response to various cellular signals. ATF-1 is primarily located in the nucleus, where ATF-1 binds to specific DNA sequences known as cAMP response elements (CRE) to modulate transcription. The nuclear localization of ATF-1 is vital for function, as this positioning allows direct interaction with other transcriptional regulators and chromatin remodeling complexes, thereby influencing the expression of genes involved in critical processes such as cell growth, differentiation, and stress responses.
