SEE ALSO...

ATF-1 Antibody (25C10G) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects ATF-1 of mouse, rat, and human origin through western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry (IHC). ATF-1 (25C10G) monoclonal antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase, phycoerythrin, fluorescein isothiocyanate, and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. ATF-1 plays a crucial role in regulating gene transcription, particularly in response to cellular stress and signaling pathways. ATF-1 is a member of the ATF/CREB transcription factor family, which is essential for binding to the cAMP response element (CRE) and facilitating the transcription of target genes involved in various physiological processes. ATF-1 mediates the induction of NOX1, highlighting ATF-1′s importance in reactive oxygen species production, which is vital for cellular signaling and homeostasis. ATF-1 interacts with other transcription factors, such as ATF-2 and c-Jun, to form complexes that initiate CRE-dependent transcription, thereby influencing a wide range of biological responses. Phosphorylation of ATF-1 at specific residues is critical for transcriptional activity, underscoring the significance of post-translational modifications in regulating function. ATF-1 (25C10G) antibody serves as a valuable tool for studying the intricate mechanisms of gene regulation and cellular responses mediated by ATF-1 in various biological contexts.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-270 X be used instead of the standard form sc-270?

Asked by: DefinitelyNotMatt
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Recognizes all CREB family members in WBI overexpressed GFP-tagged ATF1, CREB and CREM in HEK293 cells. ATF1 25C10G (dilution 1:200) recognized GFP-ATF1, but was not specific to ATF1 in WB, as it recognised all the GFP-tagged CREB family members.
