APC Antibody (A-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects APC in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-APC antibody (A-3) targets the adenomatous polyposis coli (APC) protein, which plays a crucial role in regulating cell adhesion and maintaining the integrity of cellular junctions. APC (A-3) antibody recognizes the APC protein, consisting of 2,843 amino acids, which is essential for the proper functioning of the Wnt signaling pathway, vital for cell proliferation and differentiation. Mutations in the APC gene are commonly associated with familial adenomatous polyposis and Gardner′s syndrome, leading to the development of numerous adenomatous polyps that can progress to colon cancer. APC monoclonal antibody (A-3) targets a protein whose interactions with β-catenin and γ-catenin help regulate cellular adhesion and are involved in the formation of adherens junctions. APC competes with E-cadherin for binding to β- and γ-catenin, and this dynamic is crucial for maintaining cellular architecture and signaling. The association of APC with α-catenin facilitates the connection between the cytoskeleton and the APC-E-cadherin-β/γ-catenin complex, underscoring APC′s significance in cellular stability and communication.
