SSH2 activators are chemicals that can activate the SSH2 protein, either directly or indirectly. Most of these compounds work by modulating intracellular signaling pathways, particularly those involving cAMP and calcium. SSH2 is activated when it is dephosphorylated. Many of the chemicals listed here influence SSH2 activation by modulating the balance of phosphorylation and dephosphorylation.
