TMEM120B Inhibitors

Chemical inhibitors of TMEM120B can be understood by examining their interactions with cellular pathways linked to the functions of this protein. Benzamil, a sodium channel inhibitor, can disrupt the sodium balance within cells, which is critical for the function of ion channel-associated proteins like TMEM120B. By inhibiting sodium channels, Benzamil can reduce the activity of TMEM120B if it is associated with or regulated by sodium ion flux.
