SART2 Activators

SART2 Activators are a series of chemical compounds that indirectly influence the functional activity of SART2 through modulation of specific signaling pathways and cellular processes. Forskolin, by increasing cAMP levels, indirectly activates SART2 by enabling PKA to phosphorylate target proteins that interact with SART2, thereby enhancing its cellular signaling role. Ionomycin and A23187, as calcium ionophores, could increase intracellular calcium, potentially activating calcium-dependent kinases that may phosphorylate and enhance the activity of SART2. PMA, as a PKC activator, may promote phosphorylation within the SART2 pathway, and Sildenafil, by inhibiting PDE5, prevents the breakdown of cGMP, which could intensify SART2 activity through cGMP-dependent protein kinases.

Moreover, EGCG, by inhibiting certain kinases, might reduce negative regulation of SART2, thus indirectly enhancing its activity. Thapsigargin, by disrupting calcium homeostasis, and NAD+, as a redox cofactor, are also implicated in modulating pathways that interact with SART2, suggesting an enhancement of its activity. Lastly, Isoproterenol, by stimulating beta-adrenergic receptors to increase cAMP, could further promote SART2 activity through cAMP-dependent pathways.
