OXA1L Activators

The OXA1L Activators are a class of chemical compounds that are known to enhance the function of the OXA1L protein, a mitochondrial protein involved in the insertion of proteins into the mitochondrial inner membrane. Likewise, PPARγ agonists such as Rosiglitazone, Troglitazone, and Pioglitazone, as well as the pan-PPAR agonist Bezafibrate, can increase mitochondrial biogenesis, indirectly enhancing the function of OXA1L by increasing the demand for its protein insertion function. Lastly, the PGC-1α agonist SR-18292 and the natural flavonoid Epicatechin can also enhance the function of OXA1L by promoting mitochondrial biogenesis and function.
