Anisomycin activates stress-activated protein kinases (SAPKs) which can lead to the phosphorylation and subsequent activation of Olr81. H-89, despite being a PKA inhibitor, could lead to compensatory kinase activation, potentially resulting in the phosphorylation and activation of Olr81. Okadaic Acid and Calyculin A, both inhibitors of protein phosphatases PP1 and PP2A, maintain Olr81 in a phosphorylated state due to the inhibition of dephosphorylation processes, thereby keeping Olr81 active.
