KIAA0141 Inhibitors

Chemical inhibitors classified as KIAA0141 Inhibitors do not directly target KIAA0141 but exert their influence on the protein indirectly by modulating the integrated stress response (ISR). The ISR is a cellular survival mechanism that adjusts protein synthesis in response to stress signals. DELE1, the protein encoded by the KIAA0141 gene, is involved in this response, and compounds affecting the ISR can thus affect DELE1 function. These inhibitors achieve their modulation by targeting various steps in the ISR pathway, such as the phosphorylation status of eIF2α, which is a central regulator of this response.

The compounds in this class act at different junctures of the ISR pathway. Some maintain the phosphorylated state of eIF2α, thereby sustaining the stress response which implicates DELE1's activity.
