HSPA12B Activators

HSPA12B activators are a class of chemicals that can potentially influence the expression of the heat shock protein HSPA12B. These chemicals primarily work through disrupting protein homeostasis and inducing the heat shock response.

Activators of this class inhibit heat shock proteins such as Hsp90 or Hsp70. Inhibition of these proteins can induce the heat shock response, leading to increased expression of other heat shock proteins, including HSPA12B. Other activaotrs of this class are proteasome inhibitors. Inhibition of the proteasome can lead to an accumulation of misfolded proteins, inducing the heat shock response and potentially increasing HSPA12B expression. Finally, activators that disrupt proteostasis and induce the heat shock response also belong to this class.
