HSPA12B Antibody (C-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects HSPA12B protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-HSPA12B antibody (C-4) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. HSPA12B, also known as heat shock 70 kDa protein 12B, is a 686 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular stress responses, particularly in endothelial cells of muscle and heart tissues, as well as in the liver and kidney. One of the significant aspects of HSPA12B is its involvement in post-translational modifications, particularly phosphorylation, which can influence chaperone activity and stability. These modifications are essential for regulating HSPA12B function in response to stress, as they can alter interactions with client proteins and other molecular chaperones, thereby impacting processes such as protein folding and degradation. HSPA12B is believed to be involved in angiogenesis and stress signaling related to wound healing, and upregulation in atherosclerotic lesions suggests a protective role against atherosclerotic damage. HSPA12B monoclonal antibody (C-4) enables valuable insights into HSPA12B function and implications in various physiological and pathological processes.

Can HSPA12B (C-4): sc-393635 monoclonal antibody be used to stain formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue sections?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. Yes, HSPA12B (C-4): sc-393635 has been validated for use in IHC with paraffin-embedded sections. We recommend performing antigen retrieval with sodium citrate buffer (pH 6) and heat. The full protocol can be found here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunoperoxidase-staining
