FOXD4L4 Activators

Forskolin stands out as a compound that raises intracellular cAMP levels, thereby enabling protein kinase A (PKA) to phosphorylate transcription factors or coactivators involved in regulating FOXD4L4. Similarly, phorbol 12-myristate 13-acetate (PMA) activates protein kinase C (PKC), which can modulate the transcriptional machinery linked to FOXD4L4 expression. The addition of epidermal growth factor (EGF) into this milieu triggers receptor-mediated signaling cascades that can culminate in the upregulation of FOXD4L4 by modifying transcription factor activity.
