ERdj4 Inhibitors
ERdj4 inhibitors encompass a range of chemicals, primarily targeting the heat shock protein machinery and the unfolded protein response (UPR). The foundation for this collection arises from ERdj4's intrinsic role as a co-chaperone to HSP70 in the endoplasmic reticulum. Chemicals such as VER-155008, PES, JG-98, and MKT-077 are centered on inhibiting HSP70's function, which can consequently modulate ERdj4's co-chaperoning action.
Furthermore, another pivotal facet of ERdj4 activity is within the UPR, a cellular response to misfolded proteins in the ER.
