VER 155008 is a novel adenosine-derived inhibitor of HSP 70 (heat shock protein 70) (IC50 = 0.5 muM). VER 155008 inhibits cell proliferation of multiple human tumor cell lines in vitro. VER 155008 also binds Hsc70 and Grp78 and is selective against HSP 90beta.
