AP1S2 Activators consists of a diverse set of compounds that influence the functional activity of AP1S2 via unique and specific signaling pathways. Many of these compounds exert their influence by inhibiting the activity of proteins that act upstream of AP1S2 in various cellular signaling pathways, thereby indirectly enhancing the activity of AP1S2. For instance, PD 98059, a selective inhibitor of MEK, and U0126, a selective inhibitor of both MEK1 and MEK2, enhance the activity of AP1S2 by inhibiting proteins upstream of AP1S2 in the MAPK/ERK pathway.
