ZIP-kinase Antibody (G-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects ZIP kinase in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). ZIP kinase plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in the regulation of apoptosis, which is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and preventing tumorigenesis. ZIP kinase contains a leucine zipper domain that facilitates homodimerization and interaction with other leucine zipper proteins, such as ATF-4, a member of the ATF/CREB transcription factor family. ZIP kinase dimerization with ATF-4 enhances transcriptional regulation of genes involved in stress responses and apoptosis. Notably, overexpression of ZIP kinase has been linked to morphological changes in NIH/3T3 cells that are characteristic of apoptosis, underscoring ZIP kinase′s importance in the apoptotic process. Anti-ZIP kinase antibody (G-1) enables researchers to gain valuable insights into apoptosis mechanisms and potential implications for cancer research and therapeutic interventions.
