SEE ALSO...

XPF Antibody (F-11) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects XPF protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XPF (F-11) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XPF protein, also known as ERCC4 or ERCC11, plays a crucial role in the nucleotide excision repair pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability by repairing DNA damage caused by ultraviolet light and other environmental factors. Specifically, XPF forms a complex with ERCC1 protein, functioning as a structure-specific endonuclease that makes incisions in DNA during the repair process. This interaction allows for precise removal of damaged DNA segments, thereby preventing mutations that could lead to conditions such as xeroderma pigmentosum, an autosomal recessive disorder characterized by heightened risk of skin cancer due to impaired DNA repair mechanisms. XPF′s ability to cleave DNA at specific sites underscores its importance in cellular response to DNA damage, making anti-XPF antibody (F-11) an invaluable tool for researchers studying DNA repair processes and related pathologies.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398032 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
