SEE ALSO...

XPF Antibody (3F2/3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects XPF in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). XPF (3F2/3) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. XPF, also known as ERCC4 or ERCC11, plays a crucial role in the nucleotide excision repair pathway, which is essential for maintaining genomic stability by repairing DNA damage caused by ultraviolet light and other environmental factors. Specifically, XPF forms a complex with the ERCC1 protein, which is vital for the endonuclease activity that incises damaged DNA. This interaction is critical because XPF-ERCC1 complex recognizes and cleaves DNA at specific sites, facilitating the removal of bulky DNA adducts and ensuring proper repair. Deficiencies in XPF are linked to xeroderma pigmentosum, an autosomal recessive disorder that significantly increases the risk of skin cancer due to impaired DNA repair mechanisms. Anti-XPF antibody (3F2/3) enables researchers to gain insights into the molecular mechanisms underlying DNA repair and the implications of XPF dysfunction in various diseases.
