Wnt-7a Antibody (E-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects Wnt-7a protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-Wnt-7a antibody (E-9) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Wnt-7a plays a crucial role in developmental processes, particularly in regulating cell fate and patterning during embryogenesis, by acting as a signaling molecule that binds to frizzled receptors. This interaction is vital for proper development of the anterior-posterior axis in the female reproductive tract, influencing uterine smooth muscle patterning and maintenance of adult uterine function. Wnt-7a is also involved in oncogenesis, highlighting its importance in both normal development and disease processes. Human Wnt-7a gene is located on chromosome 3p25, while related Wnt-7b gene is found on chromosome 22q13, indicating a complex genetic landscape that may influence functional dynamics of these proteins in various biological contexts.
