VPS11 Antibody (C-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects VPS11 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VPS11 Antibody (C-12) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. VPS11, also known as vacuolar protein sorting 11, END1, PEP5, RNF108, or PP3476, is crucial for proper trafficking of endocytic and biosynthetic proteins to the vacuole, playing a significant role in cellular budding processes. VPS11 is primarily localized to endosome and lysosome membranes, which is vital for function in vesicle-mediated protein trafficking and fusion and docking reactions that occur in late endosomes and lysosomes. VPS11 is expressed ubiquitously, with highest levels found in heart, and contains one clathrin repeat and one RING-type zinc finger, sharing 24% amino acid identity with its yeast homolog, Vsp11. Proper functioning of VPS11 is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis and ensuring proteins are correctly sorted and delivered to intended destinations within cells, highlighting importance in cellular health and function.
