VCP Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects valosin containing protein (VCP) in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). VCP is a crucial member of the AAA family of ATPases, playing a significant role in various cellular processes, including the regulation of the cell cycle and membrane functions. Notably, VCP is involved in the degradation of proteins through interaction with the 26S proteasome, which is essential for maintaining cellular homeostasis. VCP associates with ubiquitinated IκB-α, highlighting its importance in the proteasome-mediated degradation pathway that regulates nuclear factor kappa B (NF-κB) signaling. Proper functioning of VCP is vital, as dysregulation can lead to various diseases, including neurodegenerative disorders and cancer. Anti-VCP antibody (E-4) provides a reliable tool for researchers aiming to study the intricate roles of VCP in cellular mechanisms and its implications in health and disease.
