SEE ALSO...

V-ATPase G1 Antibody (D-5) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects V-ATPase G1 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-V-ATPase G1 antibody (D-5) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. V-ATPase G1 plays a crucial role in the acidification of eukaryotic intracellular organelles, which is essential for processes such as protein degradation, nutrient storage, and cellular pH regulation. V-ATPase G1 functions as part of the vacuolar-type H+-ATPase complex, which consists of a peripheral V1 domain responsible for ATP hydrolysis and an integral V0 domain that facilitates proton translocation. The V1 domain is composed of nine subunits (A-H), while the V0 domain contains five subunits (a, d, c, c′, and c"). V-ATPase G1 is involved in the assembly and stability of the V-ATPase complex, and may interact with other proteins, such as the pore-forming a1C-subunit of L-type calcium channels, to ensure proper membrane localization and function. The genes encoding G1 and G2 V-ATPase subunits are located on chromosomes 9q33.1 and 6p21.3, respectively, highlighting their genetic significance in cellular physiology.
