USP14 Antibody (A-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a antibody that detects USP14 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). USP14, also known as ubiquitin specific peptidase 14, is a crucial cytoplasmic protein that plays a significant role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system by removing ubiquitin moieties from substrates, thus preventing their degradation. This function is vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and regulating various intracellular processes, including signal transduction and cell cycle progression. USP14 exists as a homodimer and interacts with several other proteins, including the proteasome, where USP14 modulates the degradation of ubiquitin-tagged proteins. Notably, defects in the USP14 gene can lead to severe developmental issues, such as retarded growth or fetal death in mice, underscoring USP14′s importance in early developmental processes. Additionally, USP14 is subject to alternative splicing, resulting in multiple isoforms that may have distinct regulatory roles within the cell. With USP14′s ability to influence protein stability and function, anti-USP14 antibody (A-1) serves as an essential tool for researchers studying the ubiquitin pathway and its implications in various biological contexts.
