SEE ALSO...

USP14 Antibody (6E6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects USP14 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-USP14 antibody (6E6) is available in a non-conjugated form, allowing for versatile experimental use. USP14, also known as ubiquitin specific peptidase 14, is a crucial cytoplasmic protein that plays a significant role in the ubiquitin-proteasome system, which is essential for regulating protein degradation and maintaining cellular homeostasis. USP14 exists as a homodimer and functions primarily to remove ubiquitin moieties from ubiquitin-conjugated proteins, thus preventing their degradation by the proteasome. USP14′s importance is underscored by its involvement in various cellular processes, including signal transduction and cell cycle regulation. Notably, defects in USP14 can lead to severe developmental issues in mice, highlighting USP14′s critical role in early development. Additionally, USP14 undergoes post-translational modifications that can influence activity and interactions with other proteins, further emphasizing USP14′s importance in cellular regulation and signaling pathways. Multiple isoforms of USP14 arise from alternative splicing, contributing to the complexity of regulatory functions within the cell.

I am using USP14 (6E6): sc-100630 for immunofluorescence, what dilution of this antibody should I use?

Asked by: Cweed
Thank you for your question. We recommend a starting dilution of 1:50. However, optimal antibody concentration should be determined by titration. Please find our full immunofluorescence protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/immunofluorescence-cell-staining
