TTF-1 Antibody (F-12) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects TTF-1 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TTF-1, also known as thyroid transcription factor-1, is a crucial member of the Nkx2 family of homeodomain-containing transcription factors, playing a vital role in regulating the transcriptional activity of thyroid-specific genes. TTF-1 is predominantly located in the epithelial cells of the lung, thyroid, and brain, where TTF-1 is essential for organogenesis and the maintenance of differentiated tissue phenotypes. In the lung, TTF-1 is instrumental in the transcription of surfactant proteins A, B, and C, which are critical for proper lung function and gas exchange. Additionally, in the thyroid, TTF-1 enhances the expression of key thyroid-specific markers, including thyroglobulin, thyroperoxidase, and thyrotropin receptors, thereby influencing thyroid hormone synthesis and regulation. Anti-TTF-1 antibody (F-12) has been shown to interact with other proteins such as SRC-1 and CBP, which are important for modulating transcriptional activity, making TTF-1 (F-12) antibody a valuable tool for researchers studying the molecular mechanisms underlying thyroid and lung development and function.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-25331 X be used instead of the standard form sc-25331?

Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
