TTF-1 Antibody (8G7G3/1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TTF-1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TTF-1 antibody (8G7G3/1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TTF-1, also known as thyroid transcription factor-1, is a crucial member of the Nkx2 family of homeodomain-containing transcription factors, playing a vital role in regulating the transcriptional activity of thyroid-specific genes. TTF-1 is predominantly located in the epithelial cells of the lung, thyroid, and brain, where TTF-1 is essential for organogenesis and the maintenance of differentiated phenotypes. Specifically, TTF-1 is instrumental in lung morphogenesis as TTF-1 regulates the transcription of surfactant proteins A, B, and C, which are critical for proper lung function and gas exchange. Additionally, in the thyroid, TTF-1 enhances the expression of key thyroid-specific markers such as thyroglobulin, thyroperoxidase, and thyrotropin receptors, thereby influencing thyroid hormone synthesis and regulation.
