TSHR Antibody (A10) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b antibody that detects thyroid-stimulating hormone receptor (TSHR) in human and porcine samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), and immunofluorescence (IF). TSHR is a critical glycoprotein located on the surface of thyroid follicular cells, where TSHR plays a vital role in regulating thyroid hormone synthesis and secretion. TSHR activation by thyroid-stimulating hormone leads to a cascade of intracellular signaling events that ultimately influence metabolic processes and growth. TSHR is involved in the regulation of inositol phosphate and cyclic adenosine monophosphate (cAMP) formation, which are essential for maintaining normal thyroid function. Dysregulation of TSHR signaling can result in various thyroid disorders, including Graves′ disease, where autoantibodies mistakenly activate TSHR, leading to hyperthyroidism. Anti-TSHR antibody (A10) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying thyroid function and related pathologies, providing insights into the mechanisms of receptor activation and the impact of post-translational modifications on receptor activity.
