SEE ALSO...

Trk Antibody (MCTrks) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody designed to recognize the Trk family of receptors, including Trk A (NTRK1), Trk B (NTRK2), and Trk C (NTRK3), across mouse, rat, and human species. Trk monoclonal antibody (MCTrks) specifically binds to an epitope corresponding to amino acids 777-790 at the C-terminus of the human Trk proteins, making anti-Trk antibody (MCTrks) ideal for applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP). The Trk receptors are integral membrane proteins located on the cell surface, where they function as essential tyrosine kinase receptors for neurotrophic factors like nerve growth factor (NGF), brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), and neurotrophin-3 (NT-3). These receptors play a pivotal role in the development, maintenance, and function of both the central and peripheral nervous systems by regulating neuronal survival, differentiation, and synaptic plasticity. The strategic localization of Trk receptors on the cell membrane allows them to effectively receive and transduce extracellular signals, which is crucial for cellular communication and response to environmental stimuli. Trk (MCTrks) antibody enables researchers to examine the spatial distribution and expression levels of Trk proteins within various cellular environments, thereby enhancing the understanding of neurodevelopmental processes and neurological disorders. Whether utilized to investigate receptor localization in tissue samples or to explore the mechanisms of Trk-mediated signal transduction, Trk monoclonal antibody (MCTrks) is recommended for use in neuroscience research and the development of therapeutic interventions.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-414 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Randy McDonald
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
