Rated 5 out of 5 by from Antibody works for WB with band detected at ~55kDa Thank you for sending us a free sample of the mAb for pTrkA (E-6): sc-8058. The pTrkA antibody was used at 1:1000 and 1:300 dilutions in Western blot experiments with mouse eosinophil lysates. There were no detectable bands in the 140 kDa range. However, strong bands were detected at ~ 55 kDa. We will need to confirm whether this 55 kDa band is a cytosolic fragment of activated TrkA as indicated in a previous publication (Eur J Neurosci. 1999 Apr;11(4):1421-30). As such, we have ordered a blocking peptide for this mAb to confirm whether the bands at ~55 kDa are indeed fragments of TrkA.
