SEE ALSO...

TRβ1 (A-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRβ1 of mouse, rat and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF) and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TRβ1 (A-7) antibody is available as non-conjugated form, as well as multiple conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. Thyroid hormone nuclear receptors (TRs) are ligand-dependent transcription factors which regulate growth, differentiation and development, and represent members of the steroid/retinoic acid superfamily. TRα and TRβ genes have been mapped to human chromosomes 17 and 3, respectively. TRs bind to thyroid hormone response elements (TREs) with half-site binding motifs in palindromes, direct repeats or inverted palindromes orientations. Binding affinities vary and are influenced by 3,5,3′-triiodo-L-thyronine (T3). TR nuclear accessory proteins, particularly retinoid X receptors (RXRα, RXRβ and RXRγ), modulate transcriptional regulation through heterodimerization with TRs. TRβ1 forms a complex with PI 3-kinase p85α subunit and plays an important role in T3-induced activation of Akt in pancreatic β cells.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-398007 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
