TRAF2 Antibody (F-2) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TRAF2 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TRAF2 antibody (F-2) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TRAF2 plays a crucial role in mediating tumor necrosis factor (TNF) signaling, primarily through interaction with TNF receptor 1 (TNF-R1) and, to a lesser extent, TNF receptor 2 (TNF-R2). These receptors are integral members of the TNF receptor superfamily, which includes important proteins like FAS and CD40. Identification of TRAF2, along with homolog TRAF1, has provided significant insights into TNF receptor-mediated signaling mechanisms, as both proteins form heterodimeric complexes that associate with the cytoplasmic domain of TNF-R2. TRAF2 is essential for recruiting downstream signaling molecules, which ultimately leads to activation of various cellular responses, including inflammation and apoptosis. Understanding TRAF2 function is vital, as dysregulation of TNF signaling is implicated in numerous diseases, including autoimmune disorders and cancer, making TRAF2 a potential therapeutic target.
