TopBP1 Antibody (B-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TopBP1 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TopBP1 (B-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. The human DNA topoisomerase II binding protein 1 (TopBP1) plays a crucial role in cellular response to DNA damage, containing eight BRCT motifs essential for regulating DNA damage response, transcription, and replication. TopBP1 is primarily located in the nucleus, forming foci at sites of DNA damage and stalled replication forks, highlighting TopBP1′s importance in maintaining genomic stability. TopBP1 localization to these critical sites allows effective coordination of cellular response to DNA lesions, thereby preventing mutation accumulation that could lead to cancer. TopBP1 interacts with various proteins involved in DNA repair and replication, including HECT-domain ubiquitin ligase hHYD, which further underscores TopBP1′s role in DNA damage response pathway. TopBP1 gene is mapped to chromosome 3q22.2, and TopBP1 downregulation has been associated with increased apoptosis and reduced cell survival, emphasizing TopBP1′s significance in cellular health and integrity.
