TIP120A Antibody (G-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TIP120A of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TIP120A antibody (G-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TIP120A plays a crucial role in transcriptional regulation as TIP120A interacts with the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and a specific subunit of RNA polymerases, facilitating the integration of RNA polymerase II into the preinitiation complex. This interaction is vital for proper assembly of the transcription machinery, ensuring accurate regulation of gene expression. TIP120A, ubiquitously expressed and originally isolated from rat liver nuclear extracts, acts as a global activator in transcriptional regulation alongside TIP120B, which is specifically expressed in muscle tissues. TIP120A′s direct binding to TBP and chaperone-like activity towards RNA polymerases highlight TIP120A′s importance in amplifying gene expression, making TIP120A a significant target for studies related to transcriptional control and gene regulation.

When should the TransCruz reagent sc-137055 X be used instead of the standard form sc-137055?

Asked by: Germaine
Thank you for your question. We recommend using the TransCruz reagent form when performing ChIP or GelShift assays. This form can also be used in other applications such as Western Blot or IHC, but the dilution should be adjusted by a factor of 10 to account for the higher original concentration.
