Datasheets
  • Tie-2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM κ provided at 200 µg/ml
  • specific for an epitope mapping between amino acids 816-836 of Tie-2 of human origin
  • recommended for detection of Tie-2 of human origin by WB, IP, IF and ELISA
  • m-IgGκ BP-HRP is the preferred secondary detection reagent for Tie-2 Antibody (F-8) for WB applications. This reagent is now offered in a bundle with Tie-2 Antibody (F-8) (see ordering information below). For additional m-IgGκ BP conjugates see our complete list of Mouse IgG Binding Proteins.

Tie-2 Antibody (F-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgM antibody that detects Tie-2 in human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Tie-2, also known as Tek, is a receptor tyrosine kinase that plays a crucial role in angiogenesis and vascular stability, making Tie-2 essential for proper blood vessel formation and maintenance. Tie-2 is primarily located on the surface of endothelial cells, where Tie-2 mediates signaling pathways that regulate endothelial cell survival, proliferation, and migration in response to various growth factors. Tie-2′s location in the cell is critical, as activation by ligands such as angiopoietin-1 leads to blood vessel stabilization and prevention of vascular leakage, which is vital for maintaining tissue homeostasis and preventing diseases such as cancer and cardiovascular disorders. Anti-Tie-2 antibody (F-8) is an invaluable tool for researchers studying vascular biology and related pathologies, providing insights into endothelial function mechanisms and therapeutic potential of targeting this receptor in various diseases.
