    SEE ALSO...

TGase6 Antibody (E-1) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TGase6 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TGase6 antibody (E-1) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TGase6, also known as transglutaminase 6, plays a crucial role in forming the cross-linked cell envelope (CE) in terminally differentiating mammalian epidermal cells, which is essential for maintaining skin integrity and barrier function. This 706 amino acid protein catalyzes the cross-linking of proteins and conjugation of proteins to polyamines, facilitating the formation of disulfide bonds and gamma-glutamyl-lysine isodipeptide bonds that contribute to the structural stability of the epidermis. TGase6 is vital for various biological processes, including blood coagulation, epidermal differentiation, and apoptosis, highlighting its importance in both skin health and overall physiological functions. Additionally, TGase6 exists in two isoforms due to alternative splicing, which may have distinct roles in cellular processes, further underscoring the complexity and significance of this protein in biological systems.
