SEE ALSO...

TFEB Antibody (C-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TFEB protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TFEB antibody (C-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TFEB, a member of the basic helix-loop-helix (bHLH) transcription factor family, plays a crucial role in cellular processes such as autophagy and lysosomal biogenesis, which are vital for maintaining cellular homeostasis and responding to stress. TFEB′s ability to regulate gene expression in response to nutrient availability and cellular stress highlights its importance in metabolic regulation and potential implications in diseases such as cancer and neurodegeneration. TFEB is predominantly expressed in trophoblast cells of the placenta, where TFEB is essential for normal vascularization, and can form homodimers or heterodimers with other related proteins like TFE3 and TFEC, further influencing regulatory functions. TFEB′s unique structural features, including adjacent helix-loop-helix and leucine zipper domains, enable specific DNA sequence binding, thereby activating target genes critical for cellular function.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good product!Lysates from Jurkat T cells and human CD8+ blasts were incubated with TFEB from Santa Cruz (sc-166736) diluted 1:500 in PBS 0,02% Tween20 for 3 hours at room temperature. The antibody gives a good signal at the proper molecular weight. A long incubation (at least 3 hours + long exposition during acquisition) may be required, as the signal is weak, but the specificity seems to be acceptable.
