TCEA3 Antibody (E-7) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TCEA3 of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TCEA3 (E-7) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TCEA3, or transcription elongation factor A (SII) protein 3, is a crucial member of the TFS-II family, which plays a vital role in transcription by facilitating RNA polymerase II (Pol II) release from transcriptional arrest. This function becomes particularly important since DNA arresting sites can lead to locked ternary complex formation, trapping elongating RNA polymerases and halting transcription. TCEA3 activates RNA polymerases′ intrinsic RNA cleavage activity, enabling nascent transcript cleavage and new 3′-terminus formation to resume elongation. TCEA3 consists of 348 amino acids and features one TFIIS N-terminal domain, one TFIIS central domain, and one TFIIS-type zinc finger, essential for Pol II interaction. TCEA3 predominantly resides in the nucleus, where TCEA3 binds to Pol II, assisting in transcription elongation past arresting sites, ensuring proper gene expression for various cellular functions.
