SEE ALSO...

TBX5 Antibody (A-6) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TBX5 of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). Anti-TBX5 antibody (A-6) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBX5 plays a crucial role in cardiac and limb development, as TBX5 is essential for proper heart and upper limb formation during embryogenesis. Mutations in TBX5 are linked to Holt-Oram syndrome, which manifests as congenital heart defects and upper limb malformations, highlighting TBX5′s importance in both cardiac and skeletal development. Additionally, TBX5 interacts with other transcription factors, such as TBX20, to regulate gene expression necessary for heart morphogenesis, underscoring TBX5′s significance in developmental biology and potential implications in congenital heart disease research. The conserved T-box domain within the Tbx gene family facilitates DNA-binding and protein dimerization, which are critical for transcriptional regulation of target genes involved in various developmental processes, making TBX5 a vital component in understanding both normal and pathological development.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-515536 P appropriate for?

Asked by: Professor Griffin
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great Tbx5 antibodyI tried this antibody on our mouse samples although SCBT website says it's raised against human peptide and does not recommend for use with mouse protein. Surprisingly, it worked on mouse embryonic tissue sections in immunofluorescence, and staining appeared to be specific.
