TBRG1 Antibody (D-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects TBRG1 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). TBRG1 (D-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TBRG1, also known as transforming growth factor beta regulator 1, TB-5, or NIAM, is a 411 amino acid protein that plays a crucial role in cellular processes by localizing to the nucleus and containing distinct FY-rich domains at both its N- and C-termini. TBRG1 is expressed in various tissues, including the liver, lung, and pancreas, and functions primarily as a growth inhibitor. TBRG1 interacts with key regulatory proteins such as p14 ARF and MDM2, which are vital for maintaining chromosome stability and regulating the cell cycle. TBRG1 can activate p53, leading to cell-cycle arrest and limiting cell proliferation, which underscores its importance in tumor suppression. TBRG1 expression is often downregulated in several cancers, including breast, pancreatic, and kidney tumors, highlighting its potential role as a tumor suppressor. Additionally, TBRG1 is subject to MDM2-mediated ubiquitination, which results in proteasomal degradation, further emphasizing the regulatory mechanisms that control TBRG1 function and stability within the cell.
