    SEE ALSO...

TANC Antibody (H-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects TANC protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). anti-TANC antibody (H-8) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. TANC protein, also known as TANC1, is a crucial postsynaptic cell membrane protein composed of 1,861 amino acids, featuring eleven ankyrin repeats and three tetratricopeptide repeats, which categorize TANC1 within the TANC family. TANC1′s primary function as a scaffolding component in the postsynaptic density is vital for synaptic signaling and plasticity, as TANC1 facilitates interactions with key proteins such as TNIK, SAPAP1, α-internexin, CaMKII, NMDA receptor subunit ε2, and GluR-1. These interactions are essential for the organization and stability of the postsynaptic structure, influencing synaptic strength and neuronal communication. TANC1 interacts directly with other important scaffolding proteins like SAP 97, PSD-95, and Homer, which further underscores TANC1′s role in maintaining synaptic integrity. Upon stimulation by Rap 2, TANC1 can be phosphorylated by MINK1 and TNIK, adding another layer of regulation to TANC1′s function. The TANC gene encodes two alternatively spliced isoforms, spans approximately 264,025 bases, and is located on human chromosome 2q24.2, a region associated with various genetic disorders.

I am using the LiCor/Odyssey system. Which secondary antibody do you recommend using with TANC (H-8): sc-514679?

    Asked by: Dr Ninau Qelp
We recommend using one of our our exclusive Mouse IgG Binding Proteins conjugated to CFL 680 or CFL 790. They are suitable for use with Near-Infrared (NIR) detection systems, such as LI-COR/Odyssey and other comparable systems. A complete list of available binding proteins is available on our website here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/browse/support-products-mouse-igg-binding-proteins/_/N-ecrety
