    SEE ALSO...

STAP-2 Antibody (E-4) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects STAP-2 protein of human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry, and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). STAP-2 (E-4) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. STAP-2 protein plays a crucial role in cellular signaling pathways, particularly in tyrosine phosphorylation, which regulates various cellular processes, including cell growth, differentiation, and metabolism. STAP-2 interaction with other proteins, such as BRK (breast tumor kinase), highlights STAP-2′s importance in cancer biology, as BRK is known to be overexpressed in breast tumors and metastatic melanoma cell lines. Pleckstrin homology and SH2 domains in STAP-2 suggest participation in recruiting signaling molecules to membrane sites, thereby influencing downstream signaling cascades. Aberrant regulation of STAP-2 and associated pathways can contribute to tumor progression and metastasis, making STAP-2 a significant target for research in cancer therapeutics.

What application is the blocking peptide sc-390886 P appropriate for?

    Asked by: cjMara
Thank you for your question. The blocking peptide is intended for use as a negative control, by pre-adsorbing the mouse monoclonal antibody against the antigen. For full protocol details, please contact our Technical Services Department or view our online protocol here: https://www.scbt.com/scbt/resources/protocols/peptide-neutralization
