SEE ALSO...

spectrin α II Antibody (C-3) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 kappa light chain antibody that detects spectrin α II protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), immunohistochemistry with paraffin-embedded sections (IHCP), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). spectrin α II monoclonal antibody (C-3) is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. spectrin α II, also known as fodrin α, plays a crucial role in maintaining the structural integrity of the cytoskeleton in non-erythroid cells, where spectrin α II is primarily located in the cytoplasm. spectrin α II is essential for the organization and stabilization of the cell membrane, as spectrin α II forms a mesh-like network that supports cellular shape and facilitates intracellular transport. The spectrin cytoskeletal network is vital for various cellular processes, including cell signaling, motility, and maintaining the mechanical properties of the cell. spectrin α II interacts with other cytoskeletal proteins, such as actin and various membrane proteins, to form a dynamic and adaptable structure that responds to cellular needs. The breakdown of spectrin α II by calpain activation can lead to significant alterations in cellular architecture, highlighting spectrin α II′s importance in maintaining cellular homeostasis and function.

How can spectrin α II (C-3): sc-48382 mouse monoclonal antibody be used for double or triple staining, if the other primary antibodies are also raised in mouse?

Asked by: jenni
In this case, we recommend using a directly conjugated mouse monoclonal primary antibody. spectrin α II (C-3): sc-48382 monoclonal antibody is currently available conjugated to phycoerythrin (sc-48382 PE), fluorescein (sc-48382 FITC), Alexa Fluor® 488 (sc-48382 AF488) or Alexa Fluor® 647 (sc-48382 AF647)
