SPATA17 Antibody (D-8) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2a kappa light chain antibody that detects SPATA17 protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SPATA17 (D-8) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SPATA17, also known as spermatogenesis-associated protein 17 or IQ motif containing H, is a 361 amino acid cytoplasmic protein characterized by the presence of three IQ domains, which facilitate interactions with calmodulin and other calcium-binding proteins. SPATA17 plays a crucial role in spermatogenesis, and proper function is essential for male fertility. Disruptions in SPATA17 expression or function can lead to infertility issues, highlighting SPATA17′s importance in reproductive biology. The gene encoding SPATA17 is located on human chromosome 1q41, which harbors a large number of genes associated with various diseases, including rare genetic disorders. Understanding SPATA17′s role and interactions within the cellular environment can provide insights into the mechanisms underlying spermatogenesis and potential therapeutic targets for infertility treatments.
