SKAP55-R Antibody (C-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG2b kappa light chain antibody that detects SKAP55-R protein of mouse, rat, and human origin by western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SKAP55-R (C-9) antibody is available in both non-conjugated and various conjugated forms, including agarose, horseradish peroxidase (HRP), phycoerythrin (PE), fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC), and multiple Alexa Fluor® conjugates. SKAP55-R protein, also known as SKAP55-related protein, plays a crucial role in T cell signaling by associating with tyrosine kinase p59fyn and Fyb protein. This interaction is vital for regulating signaling events initiated by lymphocyte antigen receptors, which ultimately leads to T cell activation. The structural features of SKAP55-R, including coiled-coil N-terminal domain, allow effective binding to Fyb through SH3 domain, functioning as a substrate for p59Fyn in resting T cells. The human SKAP55 gene is located on chromosome 17q15.2 and encodes a 359 amino acid protein, highlighting its importance in immune response regulation.
