    SEE ALSO...

SAP 155 Antibody (G-9) is a mouse monoclonal IgG1 antibody that detects SAP 155 in mouse, rat, and human samples through applications such as western blotting (WB), immunoprecipitation (IP), immunofluorescence (IF), and enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). SAP 155, also known as SF3B1 or splicing factor 3b, subunit 1, is a crucial 1,304 amino acid protein that plays a significant role in the spliceosome assembly process, which is essential for the accurate processing of pre-mRNA into mature mRNA. SAP 155 (G-9) antibody targets a protein primarily localized to nuclear speckles, where SAP 155 participates in the assembly of the U2 small nuclear ribonucleoprotein (snRNP) complex, and translocates to the cytoplasm during mitosis. The structure of SAP 155, characterized by eleven HEAT repeats, enables interaction with other spliceosomal proteins, including SAP 49, SAP 130, and SAP 145, forming a functional splicing complex. SAP 155 undergoes post-translational modifications, such as phosphorylation at N-terminal Thr-Pro dipeptide motifs by Dyrk1A and cyclin E/Cdk2, which are critical for spliceosome function. Multiple isoforms of SAP 155 exist due to alternative splicing events, highlighting SAP 155′s versatility and importance in gene expression regulation. Anti-SAP 155 antibody (G-9) serves as an invaluable tool for researchers studying splicing mechanisms and related cellular processes.

Rated 1 out of 5 by from Don't waste your timeI used this in an IP experiment against nuclear extract made with HeLa cells. The membrane for the IP experiment is immunoblot against the same antibody. The resultant blot is of very poor quality. No bands in any of the lanes (input, elution, etc) corresponding to 155kDa are visible. Only a band around 50kDa is visible across all lanes.
